I am diagnosed with ADHD and I work a lot with this client group. I am quite passionate about offering an ADHD affirming space.
ADHD is something that is very widely known just now and there has been such an upsurge in those seeking diagnosis, resulting in long waiting lists.
I do not offer a diagnosis.
But I do offer a space where I have a unique understanding of this neurotype, living undiagnosed, going through the assessment process and then adjusting and accepting my diagnosis.
However, I do not rely soley on my own experience, I also make sure my knowledge is as Up To Date as possible. I do this through attending various training that are ND led, and I keep abreast of current reading.
I am currently developing material for a future ADHD group with a fellow ADHD colleague. Hopefully to be launched late 2025
I am not an ADHD coach, but I can support you to process the emotions and patterns that often come up for ADHD folk. Although it must be stressed that ‘if you’ve one person with ADHD, you’ve only met one person with ADHD’. No two experiences are completely alike.
I find that both working creatively and offering outdoor therapy can be a way to make therapy more accessible for ADHD clients. I am happy to modify my room and seating arrangements if need be and will be aware that sensory issues, sound, lighting etc can be important to get right.
